PixelCraft Hotel
Installation, room setup, booking form, and FAQ.
Requirements: WordPress 6.4+, PHP 8.0+
Installation
- Upload the theme ZIP via Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme.
- Activate PixelCraft Hotel.
- Create a page titled Home and set it as static homepage under Settings → Reading.
Hotel Info
Go to Appearance → Customize → Hotel Info to set phone, booking email, address, currency symbol, hero title/subtitle, and booking disclaimer.
Use Hero Background Image to upload an optional photo behind the homepage hero (recommended 1920×1080px). A dark overlay keeps text and the booking form readable.
Upload room photos
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Room Rates.
- For each room, use Room 1 Photo, Room 2 Photo, Room 3 Photo.
- Click Select image and upload from your computer or Media Library.
- Click Publish.
Room rates, capacity & booking
Under Appearance → Customize → Room Rates, set each room’s:
- Name — shown on cards and in the booking form
- Price (per night) — powers the estimated total calculator
- Max Guests — shown on room cards and caps the Guests dropdown when that room is selected
- Photo — optional room image
Under Hotel Info, set your booking email address. Inquiries are sent there via the built-in form.
Booking form notes
- The estimated total stays hidden until check-in and check-out form a valid stay (at least one night).
- Estimated total = nights × selected room rate.
- Guest count options are limited to the selected room’s Max Guests.
- The form sends a booking inquiry, not a confirmed reservation.
FAQ
Why don’t I see an estimated total yet?
Choose both check-in and check-out dates with at least one night between them. The estimate appears only after a valid stay length is set.
How do I change max occupancy for a room?
Go to Appearance → Customize → Room Rates and set Max Guests for that room (1–12).
How do I change the hero background?
Go to Appearance → Customize → Hotel Info → Hero Background Image and upload a photo from your media library.
Can I accept real online bookings?
The theme includes inquiry forms only. For payments and availability, use a booking plugin (coming soon from PixelCraft WP).
